St. Mary’s Health Welcomes Dr. Nicholas Henrie

We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Nicholas Henrie, a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician, to the St. Mary’s Health team!
Dr. Henrie brings a wealth of experience, having served as both a Resident and Chief Resident at the Idaho State University Family Medicine Residency program. A native of Lewiston, Idaho, Dr. Henrie is passionate about providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, with expertise spanning from adult and pediatric outpatient care to emergency and inpatient services. He also has a special interest in obstetrics and newborn care.
A graduate of Brigham Young University – Idaho for undergrad and the University of Utah for medical school, Dr. Henrie is committed to bringing the best of medical research and knowledge to our small-town community. When asked what he finds most exciting and challenging about his job, Dr. Henrie says, “I love the intellectual side of medicine and staying on top of cutting-edge research. It’s rewarding to bring big university knowledge into a small community setting, making a real impact in rural healthcare. I also enjoy the broad spectrum of care I provide—from outpatient care for adults and kids to hospital care, emergency situations, obstetrics, and newborns.”
Dr. Henrie is excited to provide the highest quality care to the people of the prairie. “I love the intellectual side of medicine and staying on top of cutting-edge research. It’s rewarding to bring big university knowledge into a small community setting, making a real impact in rural healthcare,” added Dr. Henrie.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Henrie enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife—a former Division I girls’ basketball coach—and their three young boys. He’s an avid outdoorsman, with a love for fly fishing (he’s known as the “FlyFishingPhysician”), hunting, and backpacking. A newcomer to downhill skiing, he’s quickly become hooked thanks to his wife’s guidance.
