CVH Wishing Tree Committee Expresses Thanks

The CVH Belinda Stockton Memorial FEFC would like to sincerely thank everyone for their participation in the Wishing Tree Non-Profit Event last month.

“It was a big year for giving!” says Dusti Howell, Wishing Tree Committee Lead, “The 2024 CVH Belinda Stockton Memorial FEFC Wishing Tree Event was able to help 25 families and make 50 children’s Christmas wishes come true!”

“We could not have done this without the kind-hearted, giving community members and employees, also known as “Secret Santas,” says Howell.  “As soon as we hung a “Star,” or even before we could get it on the tree, they were being adopted! And because of the generous donations we received, we were able to give each family a substantial gift certificate to help with Christmas dinner as well.”

“We just cannot express how wonderful each and every one of you are that contributed this year. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It is so heartwarming to see how this community takes care of one another, especially in times of need!”

Dates to keep in mind for 2025

  • Begin accepting applications: 10/13/25
  • Application submission deadline: 11/7/25
  • Stars begin going up on the tree: 11/3/25
  • Stars available for adoption: 11/4/25
  • Deadline for adopting a star: 11/21/25
  • Deadline for presents to be returned: 12/10/25

 

“It takes a lot of hard work, compassion, and volunteer hours to make everything come together and we look forward to doing it again year after year,” says Howell.
