Clearwater Valley Health Foundation Returns with Taste of the Clearwater

The Clearwater Valley Health Foundation invites the community to the Taste of the Clearwater, a festive evening of local wine, microbrews, delicious food, and live entertainment on Friday, October 24, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Big Eddy Event Space in Ahsahka.

This annual fundraiser brings together supporters of Clearwater Valley Health for an evening of sampling some of the Northwest’s best wines and craft beers while enjoying the scenic beauty of the Big Eddy location. Entertainment will be provided by Isidoro Rado, and guests can participate in a silent auction featuring unique local items and experiences.

“This event is about more than just great food and drink,” says Brynn Knudson, Foundation Development Director. “Every ticket purchased and every donation made helps us bring better healthcare to our rural communities.”

Supporting Critical Healthcare Technology

This year’s fundraising goal focuses on upgrading the hospital’s CT scanner with the latest technology. The new equipment will provide faster, more accurate diagnostics for patients, ensuring that community members receive the highest quality care close to home.

Event Details

Advance tickets are $40 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code on event flyers or from LCCU in Orofino. Tickets at the door will be $45. Each ticket includes tastings of wine and beer from regional producers, along with food samples from local vendors.

The Big Eddy Event Space, located at 3286 Viewpoint Road in Ahsahka, offers both indoor and outdoor areas for guests to enjoy the fall atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather and take advantage of the beautiful lakeside setting.

Sponsorship and Donation Opportunities

Local businesses and community members can support the event through various sponsorship levels, ranging from the $500 Signature Vintage Sponsor package (which includes 4 event tickets and premier logo placement) to the $150 Big Eddy Barrel Sponsor recognition. Silent auction item donations are also welcome, including gift certificates, handcrafted goods, local experiences, or wine and beer baskets.
