Meet Our Cardiac Rehab Team | Clearwater Valley Health
By Ashley Steinbruecker, Director of Marketing & Communications, CVH
At Clearwater Valley Health, our Cardiac Rehabilitation Team is dedicated to helping patients rebuild strength, restore confidence, and return to the activities they love. Each team member brings unique training, deep experience, and a heartfelt commitment to serving our community. We’re proud to introduce the professionals who walk alongside patients on their recovery journey.
Mary Curtis, Respiratory Therapist, Manager of Cardiopulmonary & Sleep Services
With a degree in Respiratory Therapy and more than 20 years of service at Clearwater Valley Health, Mary Curtis plays a central role in the success of our Cardiac Rehab program. She oversees Cardiopulmonary and Sleep Services and supports both rehabilitation and patient education efforts.
Raised in Montana and educated at the University of Montana, Mary brings a strong clinical background combined with a passion for patient well‑being. Whether assisting with rehab activities or stepping out of her office to gather what’s needed to keep the department running smoothly, Mary’s leadership and dedication are felt throughout the facility.
Nicole Graham, RRT‑SDS, Respiratory Therapist
Nicole Graham brings an impressive blend of military, clinical, and leadership experience to our Cardiac Rehab Team. Her journey began with five years of service as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, followed by earning her AS in Respiratory Therapy from Northwest Kansas Technical College and a BS from Concorde Career College.
Nicole spent 15 years at Gove County Medical Center in Kansas, where she became a Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS), conducted sleep studies, and served as Director of Respiratory Care and Sleep. She later provided sleep study services for CVH and SMH before joining CVH full‑time in October 2025.
Originally from western Kansas, Nicole and her family made their way to Idaho in a creative way — by literally tossing a dart at a map. That dart landed on Idaho, and Orofino has been home ever since. Her deep experience and compassionate approach make her a trusted resource for patients navigating rehabilitation.
Rachael Childers, Cardiac Rehab Technician
Rachael Childers brings a dynamic and diverse background to the Cardiac Rehab program. A Kamiah native, Rachael served nine years in the U.S. Air Force in Personnel, Search and Recovery, and Casualty Assistance before transitioning into healthcare.
She holds multiple credentials, including:
- Certified Surgical Technologist
- Certified Personal Trainer
- AAS in Surgical Technology
- AAS in Health Science
- BA in International Relations
Rachael spent five years in surgery before joining Clearwater Valley Health as a Cardiac Rehab Technician. Her passion for helping individuals reach their health goals shines through her daily work, and she plans to continue growing her healthcare career by returning to nursing school in the future.
After her husband’s retirement from the Air Force, Rachael and her family returned home to the Clearwater Valley. She enjoys life with their two children — Jamison, age 12, and Averi Jo, 18 months — along with a well‑loved collection of family pets. When she’s not at CVH, you’ll likely find her reading, learning something new, or spending time outdoors with her family.
From decades of respiratory care experience to the energy and compassion of skilled technicians, our Cardiac Rehab Team embodies the mission of Clearwater Valley Health: exceptional, local care delivered by people who truly love this community.
We’re proud to have Mary, Nicole, and Rachael guiding patients toward healthier, stronger futures — one step at a time.
