March 18th will mark a momentous milestone event for Clearwater Valley Health Foundation; it will be their 20th Annual fundraising event; a Moonlight Ball. “After several years off we are very excited to bring back this popular event,” says Lenne Bonner, CEO of Clearwater Valley Health & Moonlight Ball Committee member. “We are even more excited to reveal that the funds raised this year will go to a very worthy cause, a Mammography Truck of our own which help us as we strive to keep patients close to home for as many services as possible.”

Tickets are available for $60 per person and include a delicious catered dinner featuring your choice of Tri-Tip or Grilled Chicken Angelo, exciting live and silent auctions and entertainment by the popular local classic rock band, Vintage Youth. To purchase tickets visit our website at www.smh-cvh.org or enter the following link into your browser: https://one.bidpal.net/moonlightball/ticketing(details:ticketing-summary).

“If you are wondering about a theme, we decided not to go with anything too specific this year,” says Ashley Steinbruecker, CVH Foundation Director. “The event will be classic and elegant, featuring black, white and silver décor. As always, formal wear is encouraged, but not required. We really wanted people to have an opportunity to get dressed up and socialize with friends without having to worry about a restrictive theme.”

All of your favorite parts of the event will remain, including a delicious catered dinner, live and silent auctions featuring fabulous vacation packages, decadent desserts, and dancing to popular local classic rock band, Vintage Youth. “We are excited to welcome Vintage Youth to the Moonlight Ball this year!” says Steinbruecker.  “You may recognize their name or may have already heard them play at one of the many venues they have played in the Lewis Clark Valley and up on the Prairie. Their set list primarily features the best of classic rock but also throws in some newer rock and country!”

“By supporting this event you can rest assured that your money will be going to a very important cause,” says Bonner. “As you may know, it can be quite a challenge in our region to ensure access to timely and convenient mammograms. St. Mary’s Health & Clearwater Valley Health currently contract with an outside entity for mobile mammography services; however, this service does not meet our patients’ needs, as we are unable to secure an adequate number of days and appointment slots. Due to numerous challenges such as competing priorities and weather, the schedule often changes and entire mammography days are cancelled. We are also experiencing a large influx of new families into our communities, and we anticipate even more patients needing this service.”

“Here’s the exciting news, The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust has awarded us a grant of $400,000 towards the purchase of a mobile mammography unit. By owning, offering, and administering this critical service directly we can improve screening compliance and care management, enhance the patient experience, and save lives,” explains Bonner. “This mobile clinic will travel to each of our hospitals and, when feasible, to our remote medical clinics, increasing our ability to provide access to this high-demand, life-saving service.”

“The grant funding received from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust is only about half the cost, though. The total project cost estimate is $964,000” Bonner says. “Our hospitals and Foundations have committed funds; however, with the financial constraints of the times, additional funds are necessary to make this a reality. Your support of the Moonlight Ball will help provide greater access to excellent care and specialized services close to home.”

“We are again encouraging our corporate and business sponsors to come up with and donate live auction packages that feature exciting trips and/or experiences. This allows an opportunity for personalization and a great opportunity for your business to be recognized publicly for your contribution!” says Steinbruecker. Please contact Ashley Steinbruecker at 208.816.8923 or ashley.steinbruecker@kh.org if you are interested in donating a live auction package.

As in years past, there will be six lavishly decorated tables available for reservation. Donors who wish to purchase a reserved table for $1500 will be ushered to their eight person table and go home at the end of the night with their table decorations, which will be valued at over $500 per table.
