Walk with the Docs is Back!
“We all know that mental health has suffered during this time of fear, uncertainty and isolation. We also know that exercise is a robust treatment for depression and anxiety,” explains Dr. Ann Lima, Clearwater Valley Hospital and Clinics. “Please take the time to help yourself and come join us for a walk.”
Walk with the Docs is a program started by the Clearwater Valley Hospital and Clinics providers, in conjunction with the Orofino Junior/Senior High School and the US Army Corps of Engineers, to provide a safe, flat place for our community members to get exercise.
“We will welcome people back on Wednesdays, starting June 17 from 6:00-7:00pm at the Orofino Junior Senior High School track and on Fridays, starting June 19 from 7:30-8:30am at the Dworshak Dam Visitor Center,” says Lima.
Walk will continue weekly Wednesdays at 6:00pm at the Orofino Junior Senior High School track and Fridays at the Dworshak Dam Visitor Center. Walk with the Docs provides a unique opportunity to walk across Dworshak Dam, which isn’t possible on other days.
“You are encouraged to wear a mask and stay at least 6 feet apart from the closest fellow walker. If you are sick, we ask that you stay at home and come back to the group walk once you are feeling better. We are excited to see you there!” says Lima.
